An inconvenient truth

I once read, "Truth is whatever gives you peace of mind." Every story has two sides: one represents the truth, while the other reflects the untruth. Ultimately, it doesn't matter which side holds the truth; what matters is the perspective you choose to take. Your perception and understanding stem from that choice, and that becomes your truth from your point of view. I was reading the story of Ahalya from the great Hindu epic, the Ramayana. Ahalya is the wife of Sage Gauthama, and each version of the Ramayana presents a different account of her life. She is considered the most beautiful woman Lord Brahma ever created. One day, while Sage Gauthama goes out for his morning rituals, Indra, the king of the devas, is enticed by her beauty. He disguises himself as Gauthama and tricks Ahalya. Killing more than once..

The news that’s really  bothering me last few days is about a girl who was murdered at a busy railway station in Chennai. PC: http://www.orderofthegooddeath.com/murder-ballads-the-poor-poor-knoxville-girl Swathi is just another IT girl in Chennai started her day without knowing how it’s going to end within hours. She was murdered in broad day light with at least 10 to 50 bystanders who are scared to even call the police. What had actually happened, no one knows until police finds the murderer. But the creative stories floating around in the media/people which is really disheartening.. Why are these people not talking much about the guy and his behavior … whatever the situation maybe, what right he has to kill a girl brutally? It’s just because he was upset... Oh Yea... Actually, that girl’s life is nothing compared to that man’s anger...That girl would've went through so much in her last moments.. that is not enough now, she had to put up with people's judgmental...
