Story of a nagging mom!!!

Chapter -1 A was lying on the couch and lazing... while I was sitting next to him and doing “Supposed-to-be-OUR” craft activity <Insert rolling eyes>.. Me: A , please don’t kick me!!! After another 10 kicks and 4 warnings.. Me: A!! I told you 100 times.. stop kicking me!! Just giving least interest in what I am saying.. A: you only said 4 times. Not 100 times!!! I couldn’t keep up with my anger after his clever answer, I gave up and smiled Me: Well, in that case I’m going to act like you. Next time you ask me anything, you have to repeat for at least 10 times before I respond!! A: NOOOO!! Me; Yesss!!! After a while.. A was in the Toilet.. ‘Ma! Im done’..   I heard him, but I didn’t respond.. I just looked at him and he repeated.. Still no response from me.. After few seconds I told him to repeat that for 8 more times..And he did!! Then I responded to his call..  <Yes!! I could be mean sometimes> After

Rules are to be broken!! But not this one..

Every one of us has a rulebook that we follow every day for everything (puff!! that’s too many Every in one sentence!!).. Let me explain, in my rule book I have a rule to keep in touch with people I care about, it could be a message /mail/ phone call just to say hello. It could be different for others who does not message/call/mail (not even respond) unless it’s an emergency... it’s completely fine by their rulebook. see what I mean??   There is no right or wrong because everyone’s rulebook is different. Rulebooks are made of rules, which you think its right and you follow them without any guilt. If something doesn’t go well by your rule book, you tend to feel guilty or bad  and try to fix it. Well, sometimes you don’t fix because of e-g-o. In my case, I tend to feel guilty everytime I raise my voice with A. This could be in  every mum's rulebook (Maybe not!!) Basic rules in your rulebook would have been inherited/defined/Influenced from your parents/religion/background

THE NEW-ME - Coming Right up!!!

We spent our long weekend with two other friends/families recently in a small beach town near-by. We rented this nice four-bedroom house close to the beach which we hardly visited!! - not that I want to visit in this cold winter weather but if driving past counts as visit then yeah- tick it as been there. But I must agree we had such a wonderful & relaxed family/friends time cooking/watching movies/making up stories/Making fun/most of all having a normal adult conversations after a long time without having to worry about kids. During the whole trip, A hardly wanted us except for few basic things. Most of the time he was self-occupied with his friends playing board games or cards or watching movies. Impressive bit is kids actually took the DVD from its case & worked it out how to play it in the player and sincerely put it back in the case after watching it without us telling or doing it for them. Simple joy of parenting you wouldn’t understand if you have crossed or not

Random things from last week .. >>  G asked A to clean up his room, but A kept on playing & refusing to go.. So G made a pretend call to Simba and told Simba to come and take A’s new toys if the room is not clean by that night.. This works all the time trust me..   Listening to this, Cheeky Monkey reacted back to G 'TA !  I don’t think Simba EXISTS in this world’ .. I was sitting next to A, I turned around with a confused look and asked him ‘ what do you mean A ? ’ He was like ‘Well! All those people from the movies, they are NOT real Amma’ .. I was just surprised by his response and asked him ‘ What about Genie from Aladdin? ’. He said ‘ Nope, he doesn’t e xists either’ .. I was like ‘ A!!! , you are breaking my heart now, I was hoping to find that Genie one day’ .   He was like ‘ Heart is inside your body ma, I can’t break it!! ’ with a straight face. They learnt about body parts recently in their Kinder!! But that’s NOT the point!!!   Whatttt!!     My baby is
