Teen V2.0 - "Know-It-All"

April has arrived, and with it, the birthday of my favourite Teen. Aa is another year older, which supposedly means "wiser and kinder," but let’s be real—the only things that actually increased were his satirical range and his "Know-it-all" attitude.

Can we blame him? Honestly, no. The world didn't stand a chance against a normal Teen, and now we’re dealing with Teen V2.0.


GoOd bYe, Thirteen!

How did the "Teen V1" go? Honestly, it was a vibe.

  • Goals: Kicked, ticked, and demolished.

  • Logic: Annoyingly, you are logically right about 99% of things.

  • The Catch 13: As the "Responsible Adult™," I am legally and morally obligated to ignore your superior logic so I can continue running this household like a normal adult.

We had approximately one million arguments this year—an impressive 10,000% increase from last year—but hey, at least we’re becoming professionals at patching things up in record speed.

Your personality is a wild mix of "Sophisticated Intellectual" and "Stubborn Teen":

  • New Obsession: playing Chess and watching GothamChess videos

  • The Streak: Still grinding on Duolingo. Oshiete!

  • Sports: Still playing cricket, and the highlight of the year is playing with Ta 

  • Entrepreneurial: everything is a trade, from selling that Yo-Gi-Ho card to that special edition $2 coin etc.,

  • The "Never doing it again" List: Summer camp, Sambar, and anything that once grew in a garden. If it’s green, it’s an allergy.

You’re still the best date for a show, though. From The Nutcracker ballet to the Beauty and the Beast Symphony, you’ve got class. Plus, your Lego game is elite—that flower bouquet and building that book nook are basically  masterpieces. And you will always be my best date for a hotpot and dumpling on any day (Shh, don't tell Ta).


Hello, Fourteen!

As you install this new update, here is your mandatory "Parental Advice" (which I know you'll probably fact-check with Chat GPT):

  1. Stop waiting for a "Like" button: You don’t need the world to validate you. You’re already the best.

  2. Love yourself: Keep that humour sharp and that heart kind. Making people laugh is a superpower; don't lose it.


I am ridiculously proud of the person you’re becoming. You’re precious to Ta and me, and honestly, nothing beats the sound of you calling me "Sangi-Ma."


Let’s make this year so legendary it’s borderline illegal. Love you to Jupiter and back! (Iykyk)

Valen'TOwN'

Every year, the Over-hyped theme for Valentine’s Day gets bigger and bigger, and in recent years its gone from a hyped day to a week-long celebration. In case you don’t know (I didn’t know this information before this post), it starts from 7 th Feb, starts from Rose day, Propose day,  Chocolate day, Teddy day, Promise day, hug day, Kiss day and then V-day (puff!! I had to google this and I don’t think it's in the right order!). Big corporations are capitalising on the theme by consciously marketing it in a way that couples feel pressured to get on the trend. I know I'm going to hurt so many people’s sentiments by writing this. The same sentiments go for Mothers day or Fathers day. But hey! Who am I to judge if someone is spending on a stuffed bear? Empty Box of Nothingness

Have you heard about empty box of nothingness? I 'm not talking about the empty cardboard boxes, these are memory boxes which sits on our brain to save those moments you are thinking about NOTHING... Well, it may not happen to women mostly coz we are planning 10 different things in our mind while actually doing 10 different things...  According to the research (Ahum!! Ahumm!!) empty box moments definitely happens for men... From what I understood, human memories are composed of small boxes and we choose to get in to any box when we are talking/thinking about them and for men they have an additional cache called Empty box and they enter that box when they are not thinking about anything.. What a bliss...  On the other hand for women brain/memories, all boxes are completely interconnected...its like a complicated switch box.  If you tell a Women A , we know how it ends up in Z.. We connect all the information/boxes we know and that’s why don’t mess with us....
