Gyeonju Bird park

Image
DH took a day off to go on a nice drive close to Busan. He loves Gyeonju, its just a nice town with lake, parks, temples.. Not far from Busan , it took us 2 hrs to reach there. Little Joey slept off most of the drive which was good coz he had good energy whole day. We didn't have any plan, just thought we can drive around the Lake and see Cherry blossom and nice lunch in one of those Lake view restaurant. When we were driving aimlessly we saw this nice glass building we thought we stop and find out what it is.. It is bird park, I'm not a big fan  visiting birds and animals. But I loved this place. so many species of birds , so colorful. They also have penguins, farm animals, Ostrich, mini aquarium, Rabbits and ducks. We spent more than 3 hrs here and it was built and maintained so well.. Its so worth visiting this place..

Seoul - Shopping

Image
I love open markets rather than big malls, mainly coz you can walk on the street just checking out local shops and good chance to try street food. If you have some time, you must try it atleast in Asia.. Korea is famous for its cosmetics..One of the places where you should get them for good deal is Myeongdong Shopping area in Seoul .. You can see all the cosmetics shops in Korea(MISHA,SAEM,FACE SHOP etc.,) are lined in same lane right next to each other giving away lot of sample if you buy something. People like me who doesn't fit in any Korean size , international shops like ZARA,H & M and forever 21 are blessing in disguise and all these shops you can find them here. If you have little time, you can also check out cultural center in M plaza next to forever 21. They have classes to make lot of Korean stuff like painting, cooking etc., Dongdaemun shopping street is my next stop , this place is heaven for shoppers. The shops open till 4am, the...

Weekend trip to Seoul..

Image
Travelling was always my cup of tea.. I love it even more if I get it do it alone sometimes.. Its like rediscovering yourself in your own pace. So G pushed me to do this since he felt I'm eating his brains doing nothing :) .. This trip planned for 2 reasons, one to have "my time" another one is to see how my son behaves if I go away for one night. I can say it was a happy ending.. Joey had great time with his dad and I have been telling him I'm on my school tour just like his and will only come on Sunday. For almost 3yr old , he understood well enough.. I was little nervous until Friday even double minded to drop this plan. But my other self was challenging me to do this for my inner-self sake. I decided to it my way, new way ..completely like a budget backpacking.. Plan:   Well! actually no plan other than keeping the ground rules- Take public transport, stay at a guest house, do window shopping and try lots of street food.. I started my open minded self explorati...
