Valen'TOwN'

Every year, the Over-hyped theme for Valentine’s Day gets bigger and bigger, and in recent years its gone from a hyped day to a week-long celebration. In case you don’t know (I didn’t know this information before this post), it starts from 7 th Feb, starts from Rose day, Propose day,  Chocolate day, Teddy day, Promise day, hug day, Kiss day and then V-day (puff!! This post is not for the Valentine , it's about the Valen’TOwN'  – the place(s) we fell in love. The place(s) that made us go crazy. The place(s) that hold so many memories are a Valen'TOwN'  of our hearts. ...

My heart is still in that hot summer when I was 10, I tricked my friends to see who could hold the breath longest, the cool dip, hot sun and water games kept me going.. My heart is still in that hot summer when I was 14, I play...

This work of mine got selected in a poetry competition run by Greater Dandenong Council, Victoria and got  published in a poetry book titled "HOME".   "Home" is collection of work by talented individuals from different background. My piece here talks about every immigrant story..                                            ----------------------------------------- “Don’t stay there forever, come back home. We will be waiting for you.” my friend said to me when I embarked a new journey to this country. “I will go back home after I earn enough, I won't stay here forever! I told my colleague. “ Son! Now that you are aboard, we can’t just have a simple wedding for your sisters. People are expecting more . It’s not like we can’t afford it now! ” my mom tells me in our video chat. I save up and transfer money back home. “ You should buy a house. Rentals...

Its another move, but this time we are so much more excited as we are moving back to our HOME.. Staying in a hotel sounds like fairytale( actually it is , I will miss all this lazy/don't have to clean the apt days) , but sometimes we need our things..I'm in that point where I just need more space to move around. I think its time for us to move back HOME.. Lot of stressful moments awaiting for us, moving is not a joke.. When I think about it now, it gives me biggg sigh.. I cant wait to move back home, settle down and drink my tea sitting on my lounge.. that what I call HEAVEN (well, for now... ) So much more stories to come about our another big move.. wait for it..
