Whats the deal??

Yesterday, A and I were waiting in the car while G went to pick up something from a shop.. Wait was lil longer than we expected as that shop had lot of customers, A was getting restless. To distract him ,  I said lets read a post from my last year blog. I read him a post of one of our conversations and we had a giggle..

G came back, we started riding..however the old post made me wanna read other ones, I started reading other ones to G and A loudly. Just after reading the next one, A was like "Ma, my ears are paining from your reading..Can we just listen to music instead?".. Did I mention he knows how to pull my leg!!

But ME being me, I ignored him and kept going.. There was this post from last Aug about a conversation I had with him on re-birth  and how he wish to be a girl next time. A was like "No, I never said that!!, I don't want to be a girl ever".. I was like "Sorry babe its too late, what you said is recorded with timestamp"..   He was like "Okay then, Can you not mention this to anyone!!" .. Lights on my evil-horns, I said "Now you are talking baby, whats the deal??"


Hey, don't judge me, I got to be smart to handle this Cheeky Monkey..

Rule of thumb for a blind date is to trust the process and to go on a date with no/zero expectation. You do not know who you are meeting until you see them. You cannot check their FB profile or see their stories in Insta. You go there with open mind. If you are lucky, you get a wonderful experience and stories to tell your grand children. My dear pre-teen,  Part of me wants you to stay young and innocent, but life gets to us all and you grow, and I have to grow as well. First, I want to thank you for putting up with me and my parental demands. You take me by surprise every single day with your patience, focus, attitude, and how you face challenges that are thrown at you. I’m so grateful to watch you grow the way you are growing with kindness, satirical sarcasm, to-the-point-arguments, your excitement to be involved in every adult conversation, and your logical and strategic thinking- you are the best ‘IDEA’ man I know in this world. Thanks for teaching me how to reach for the moon and stars.  This is going to be a big year where you are going to face your first breakups and first ‘goodbyes’ to the wonderful community of friends you grew up with. Often, I have a casual conversation with A and get surprised by some of his responses which I find very profound. I don't know whether he understands the meaning of it or it's the way children brain work - stick to rudimentary thinking, we adults complicate everything unnecessarily. I have recorded so many of our conversations in my other related posts, but this one deserves a post on its own. Little things matter  be it a gesture of care or love, last night I was down (blame the hormones!!) and was lying next to Aaryan who was busy watching TV. I turned around and asked him whether he would love me forever, he asked me “ What do you want me to say amma! ”. He was genuine when he asked me what I wanted to hear so I would feel better. He knew it was a silly question that I asked, but his presence of mind to check with me when I was feeling low was true blessing.
