My Little chef..

For a while now, Aaryan is so much in to cooking with mama.. If I stand anywhere in kitchen he comes straight with a chair to watch/help me. I must admit I'm not in to trying new stuff in kitchen. I'm kind of person who just goes to Kitchen when I'm hungry and my cooking is always fast. I could spend maybe 30min to 1hr in a day. Whatever can be cooked fast and tasty ,that's all it matters.

This week, he is been helping me wash my veggies, soak/wash rice for Idly(Steamed rice cake) batter, Marinate veggies for stir fry and he even helped me make roti dough. I don't know how long this sudden interests of his will last, but I thought I will write it down for later (or even show him to keep doing it..)

Rule of thumb for a blind date is to trust the process and to go on a date with no/zero expectation. You do not know who you are meeting until you see them. Often, I have a casual conversation with A and get surprised by some of his responses which I find very profound. I don't know whether he understands the meaning of it or it's the way children brain work - stick to rudimentary thinking, we adults complicate everything unnecessarily. I have recorded so many of our conversations in my other related posts, but this one deserves a post on its own. Little things matter  be it a gesture of care or love, last night I was down (blame the hormones!!) and was lying next to Aaryan who was busy watching TV. I turned around and asked him whether he would love me forever, he asked me “ What do you want me to say amma! ”. He was genuine when he asked me what I wanted to hear so I would feel better. He knew it was a silly question that I asked, but his presence of mind to check with me when I was feeling low was true blessing.
