Fairies...

I believe in Fairies, trust me they exists.. I have seen them.. You think I'm one of those people who believe in superstitious things right..well, no..I'm actually talking about fairies who lives among us.. Humans sometimes even animals..



There are people who just do random act of kindness and walks out  without leaving a trace. I have experienced it more than once myself. I want to share one such event..

This happened nearly 13 yrs back, my friend X and I used to take GRE classes together..so we usually go in bus but that day we took her TVS-50.. She is a experienced biker (Well, its a bike)  and it was pretty much peak time.. She was cool driving it and I was sitting at the back.. Suddenly this guy in his Yamaha bike just zooms cross the road leaving us no time to think.. Our bike hit his.. I don't even remember how on earth we both escaped with just about nothing.. Our bike broke and the police came around asking us whether we would like to complain..We didn't want to, mainly because if our parents get to know about this accident they will ground us taking the bike ever.. then we both were standing on the pathway getting our broken bike and this family (parents in late 50's and their daughter who was almost our age) came running to help us. They took us to their house to give us water and just talked about something to calm us down. They helped us getting the bike given to a repair shop close to their house. They even invited us for their 60th Bday which is coming soon..

We were in shock & nothing went into our brain.. We came home that day thinking about how lucky we were to escape  and next day we just went by bus and after a week we got the bike..I really don't remember knowing their names.. Really moments like this makes us believe in humanity I just simply call them Fairies(Aww..its a girl thing..) ..

I wish I could be a fairy to someone, I'm not sure I can..I'm little nervous dealing with strangers.. Have you encountered one or are you the one?? If you are the one, my big Salute to you.. Keep doing the good work..

Rule of thumb for a blind date is to trust the process and to go on a date with no/zero expectation. You do not know who you are meeting until you see them. You cannot check their FB profile or see their stories in Insta. You go there with open mind. If you are lucky, you get a wonderful experience and stories to tell your grand children. Mine was no different, I must say I was always lucky with my blind dates. I have had so many experience of this. However, it was not like I didn't have a choice. My dear pre-teen,  Part of me wants you to stay young and innocent, but life gets to us all and you grow, and I have to grow as well. First, I want to thank you for putting up with me and my parental demands. You take me by surprise every single day with your patience, focus, attitude, and how you face challenges that are thrown at you. I’m so grateful to watch you grow the way you are growing with kindness, satirical sarcasm, to-the-point-arguments, your excitement to be involved in every adult conversation, and your logical and strategic thinking- you are the best ‘IDEA’ man I know in this world. Thanks for teaching me how to reach for the moon and stars.  This is going to be a big year where you are going to face your first breakups and first ‘goodbyes’ to the wonderful community of friends you grew up with. Often, I have a casual conversation with A and get surprised by some of his responses which I find very profound. I don't know whether he understands the meaning of it or it's the way children brain work - stick to rudimentary thinking, we adults complicate everything unnecessarily. I have recorded so many of our conversations in my other related posts, but this one deserves a post on its own. Little things matter  be it a gesture of care or love, last night I was down (blame the hormones!!) and was lying next to Aaryan who was busy watching TV. I turned around and asked him whether he would love me forever, he asked me “ What do you want me to say amma! ”. He was genuine when he asked me what I wanted to hear so I would feel better. He knew it was a silly question that I asked, but his presence of mind to check with me when I was feeling low was true blessing.
