I'm back..

I never felt this confident when I was driving to work today.. I was very much excited when I got the offer and I was so looking forward to this day. I wouldn’t say I missed going to work last 4yrs, but now that I have an offer I’m all set. It just feels surreal 4yrs, it’s like nothing has changed. I’m just going back after a long weekend. Well, I can just say to a new team.. More the merry, my son waves good-bye (with lots of kisses) happily when I leave home.


I’m not going to brag about getting a job or going to work. It’s what lot of people do anyway, Im not special. End of the day Work is Work , that’s not life. Job is definitely not my identity, its just one of the things  I do.

Anyway, getting back to work after 4 yrs.. getting into my first workshop/meeting within 30 mins of entering the office, I didn’t feel I missed anything in last 4yrs..This 4yrs has thought me not to complain in any situation .. life is always greener on the other side. I don’t think I will miss being Stay-at-home. But will try to appreciate what I do more now..
Looking forward to the weekends & Monday morning blues..I'm officially back in the corporate race..

Rule of thumb for a blind date is to trust the process and to go on a date with no/zero expectation. You do not know who you are meeting until you see them. You cannot check their FB profile or see their stories in Insta. You go there with open mind. If you are lucky, you get a wonderful experience and stories to tell your grand children. Mine was no different, I must say I was always lucky with my blind dates. I have had so many experience of this. However, it was not like I didn't have a choice. Often, I have a casual conversation with A and get surprised by some of his responses which I find very profound. I don't know whether he understands the meaning of it or it's the way children brain work - stick to rudimentary thinking, we adults complicate everything unnecessarily. I have recorded so many of our conversations in my other related posts, but this one deserves a post on its own. Little things matter  be it a gesture of care or love, last night I was down (blame the hormones!!) and was lying next to Aaryan who was busy watching TV. I turned around and asked him whether he would love me forever, he asked me “ What do you want me to say amma! ”. He was genuine when he asked me what I wanted to hear so I would feel better. He knew it was a silly question that I asked, but his presence of mind to check with me when I was feeling low was true blessing. My dear pre-teen,  Part of me wants you to stay young and innocent, but life gets to us all and you grow, and I have to grow as well. First, I want to thank you for putting up with me and my parental demands. You take me by surprise every single day with your patience, focus, attitude, and how you face challenges that are thrown at you. I’m so grateful to watch you grow the way you are growing with kindness, satirical sarcasm, to-the-point-arguments, your excitement to be involved in every adult conversation, and your logical and strategic thinking- you are the best ‘IDEA’ man I know in this world. Thanks for teaching me how to reach for the moon and stars.  This is going to be a big year where you are going to face your first breakups and first ‘goodbyes’ to the wonderful community of friends you grew up with.
