Be A WoMan!!
Be A Man! have you heard of this phrase? May be not if you are a Woman. It is only applicable for Men as in male gender isn't?? Don't we all have both Testosterone and Estrogen? Depends on which one is stronger, we decide who we are right??
Gender equality is debated for decades and it is still a HOT topic.. In western world, everyone "acts" like gender equality is the norm, but it exists subtly and strongly everywhere.. Especially for some with higher testosterone levels, it even takes a toll on their ego if Women is equally intellectual or successful.. Women in the "Male" dominated fields (Leaders/Politicians/Police/Law/Media/ every other field for that matter) have to act like one and be like one.. Pressure for them is emotionally high, they have to "Be a man" all the time..
This post is not about gender equality, lot of people already discussed/talked/fought for it. Im here to talk about Men in women "dominated" field aka housekeeping.. Why is it when men shares house duties are either considered "sufferers" or given a WoW treatment..Why not treat them normally? If a male shares cooking and cleaning , shouldn't we treat it as the "Norm"? I mean they do live in the house, part of the house.
It is fair to say if women in the house shares outside chores from house finance to driving kids around for different activity why not share the house chores. Why is it always house chores are considered any less or should I say any less "to be a Man".. Why don't we treat it like any other chore like driving a car, going to work, doing laundry, taking care of kids etc.,
In every generation, there are exceptions.. I agree.. but exception are not enough!! why not everyone!! I tell A, girls can do everything a boy can do.. actually even more, women gives birth!!! lets just put giving birth aside, I don't want even argue women have high powers.. Just keeping it equal for this post.
We should bring up kids of next generation both boys and girls to respect each other and teach them to respect every chore..We adults show them what it is by doing it, by being a role-model.. Stop judging the women whose partner shares the house chores or stop wow'ng the Men who shares the house chores. Its time to say "Be a Woman" to those who think house chores are any less..
For a change, be a WoMan
