Big M and Lil A

 I'm going to write about this common topic which makes some people  awkward or uncomfortable . I'm not sure why that is  the case.. There will be atleast one person with an uterus around you either at home or at work or at school or anywhere in your town. Yes this post is about Mensural cycle - The big taboo M and my conversations with Lil A about it.  Did I tell you I don't filter my thoughts and we talk about it.. Often

For as long as I can remember, periods are painful, sick and exhausting. My mom said it will get better once I get married. It only got worse as you get old from 10 days to 3 weeks leaving a week off in a month without pain. In that 3 weeks , mood goes on a roller coaster ride ,  doesn't stop with one ride but a whole a theme park .. non-stop , your headache hits the roof for few days and to make the party super fun add in some cramps & body aches. By then  you don't feel any part of the body.  For those of you reading this who haven't experienced a pain like this- you are lucky. On an average a person with a uterus goes through 450 to 500 period in their lifetime. lets me stop with the fun facts and get to the topic.

Lil A knows about the pain and mood swings coz most days Im too tried or exhausted or have headache or whatever the pain comes my way. Few weeks back I was telling him in another year or two he will hit puberty and his voice will break. His reaction was just too funny not to capture. 

A: I don't want to lose my voice, I like the way it is now.

Me: But A, its only natural. Girls go through so much as well.

A: Yea, thats only once a month .. My VOICE, I will lose it forever!!!  Its not fair. its not the same!!

Another month another tale,

I decided to visit one of those Sunday markets in a country town and it was more than an hour drive. As always A gets grumpy when he is in the car for an hour. When we get there, there was no market. We drive home from there, he was just complaining how hard it is to be on the other side of the person with period -only to suffer when mom is on pain coz he cant just say no to trigger another scream-rage.  Must say it was an impressive insight argument.

He is such a savage advocate when it comes to arguments, as a mom I'm proud to hear his side of the argument (only inside) and I keep challenging him  (on the outside). He never gives up.
